Major Duties and Responsibilities
As an IT Technician, you will play a key role in providing technical support, troubleshooting, and maintaining the IT infrastructure of our organization. You will work closely with end-users, ensuring that all hardware and software issues are resolved promptly to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Provide technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components, including desktops, laptops, CCTV and peripherals.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to implement and manage network infrastructure, ensuring connectivity and security.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as system updates, backups, and patches.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to network connectivity, printers and other IT-related concerns.
  • Set up and configure new user accounts, email accounts, and access permissions.
  • Respond efficiently to IT helpdesk support, delivering effective solutions to end-users.
  • Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers to resolve issues and enhance system performance.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend updates or improvements to existing systems.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to IT processes, procedures, and configurations.
  • Undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities as so instructed by the superior and/or Company.

Qualifications and Skills Required
The ideal candidate will have:

  • Possess at least a Diploma Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as an IT Technician or in a similar role; fresh graduates with good IT skills will be an added advantage.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking.
  • Experience with Windows and/or Linux operating systems is an added advantage.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with IT security best practices.
  • Keen to learn and positive working attitude.
  • Reliable and able to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively in a team.
  • Able to execute instructions effectively and do trouble-shooting.
  • Good interpersonal skill, able to communicate effectively to the superior, peers and all other levels.
  • Computer-literate, proficient with Microsoft Office, other relevant software and application.
  • To be based in Alor Gajah, Melaka.
  • To possess own transport.
